Academy of Rock - Summer 2010
- Grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick and started playing guitar
at age ten. He played in bands all through junior high and high school.
While juggling his schoolwork, he also toured extensively throughout Atlantic Canada.
He worked for years in the Los Angeles music scene and later
spent a decade instructing at the Canadian Conservatory of
Music in Halifax.
It was always a dream for him
to open his own music school, bringing a wide variety of
music to the community. In 2004 he opened Noble Music
Studios and the following year he ran the first Academy of
Rock for one week in Milford.
This proved to be such a success,
and such a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to play with others on the stage in
performance, that we knew right away we would continue the program in
coming years. It was enjoyed so much by staff and young rockers
alike that Bruce decided to have a Junior as well as Senior
Academy in the second year.
- Veteran instructor Steve has toured all around the world and played with
the Carson Downey Band, Matt Minglewood and John Campbell John.
We welcome Steve to the Academy and he brings his enthusiasm
and love for the music to the program.
- Chris is one of the instructors at Noble Music and really enjoys teaching. He likes all styles of music but is best known
around the studios as the "heavy metal instructor". He's really looking forward to being a part of the Academy of Rock this summer
