THE ACADEMY OF ROCK DAY CAMP

You are placed with other musicians and one of our top instructors/ coaches (who share musical tastes) to form a rockin’ band. Playing with others helps develop team player skills and improves musicianship. Also, it has been proven that students learn at a faster rate when playing with others.

Senior Rockers (13-18)
(This year offering two senior camps)
1st Camp – July 13 to 17, 2009
Concert July 18, 2009

2nd Camp – July 20 to 24, 2009
Concert July 25, 2008

 Camp includes:
  • Instrumental instruction classes (guitar, bass, drums etc.)
  • Styles classes (blues, metal, alternative, classic rock etc.)
  • Theory
  • Soloing
  • Comping (accompaniment)
  • Writing original music
  • Improvisation
  • Vocals
Junior Rockers (9-13)
1 Week – July 6 to 10, 2009
Concert July 11, 2009
  • Learn the art of rock
  • Play and jam in groups
  • Learn to play with CD’s
  • Work on theory
  • Play songs by your favourite bands
  • Write and play original songs
  • Become a better player and/or vocalist
