Studio Policies

Our studios are equipped with Fender G-DEC digital amplifiers.

Our focus is to involve the students in the lessons and develop their love of music through their instrument.  They will learn to play songs with chords and strumming; to read music with notation and/or tablature.

We believe that learning should be fun!

We teach them to play the music and styles that they want to play by an understanding of theory, scales and harmony.  They learn power chords up and down the neck, scales and licks.  Reading music through notation and tablature, as well as chord charts, will be stressed at this level.  Each student is an individual and the lessons are structured in just this way For instance, the student can learn by bringing in their favourite CDs for the teacher to transcribe and show them how to jam along with it.  They learn to cover popular songs in the styles of classic rock, heavy metal, alternative, punk, blues and jazz.

Lessons are geared to the individual's level and musical taste.  They will learn open chords, barre chords, scales/picking and a variety of strums, finger picking and accompaniment techniques. We include popular songs and standards in the styles of country, folk, pop rock, blues and jazz.

We offer private and semi-private lessons as well as our Group Workshops for beginning guitarists.  Lessons are usually 30 minutes for beginners.  Advanced players find an hour lesson more beneficial and fun.
